Corporation Tax Update: 5.0.2.2 (Capital Allowances)

We are pleased to announce that a major update to your Corporation Tax software is now available, which adds the Capital Allowances feature for the 2010 product.  You can apply the update from Client Manager, by going to Help // Update Accountants Suite.  For more instructions, please read our Latest Version Numbers post on our support site.

This complicated area of the software has been completely rewritten over the past year, and has already been launched in Keytime Tax Professional, and is now finding its way into Keytime Corporation Tax.

Tax Update: 1.0.3.0

In addition to the update to Corporation Tax, we have also updated Tax Professional, to version 1.0.3.0.  You can view full release notes for the Corporation Tax, Tax Professional and P11D updates at our forum post announcing the release.

We strongly urge all customers to update their software as soon as possible, to take advantage of the improvements, new features and bug fixes that we roll out in each update.

More ways to get support

You may be aware that in December last year, we introduced our new support portal website, which we use to track the queries, suggestions and problems that you have.  Since December, we have processed over 8 000 support tickets using the new system, tracking queries received over the phone, by email to support@keytime.co.uk and online at support.keytime.co.uk.

This week, we've improved the system even further, based on your feedback.  We now have a dedicated area for you to give us your feature requests, and to vote for features that you would like to be implemented.  We'll be updating these requests to let you know if we plan to add them, when we've added them, or if it isn't something we'd look at doing.

We've also added an area for you to ask questions that might not be a support ticket, and for all of our customers to help each other, by sharing your experience with the software.  As with the Ideas forum, you can vote for questions you'd like an answer to, and we can mark if an answer looks right to us.  This was one of the most requested features, so we're very excited about seeing how well you use this to help yourself, and fellow Keytime users.

A better Search

We've also added a nice, big search bar at the top of the support website, which will trawl through official Keytime solutions, the community help section and the feature request section.  It will then display the relevant topics, or give you the option to create a new question, idea, or support ticket.

With these new features, we're looking to give you more options for finding the answers you are looking for, and more choices about how to get in touch.

Introducing: Martin Mayer

I’m Martin Mayer, and I’ve just been named as the Head of Support for Keytime.  Some of you will already have met me, or had some training from me, and I’m looking forward to speaking to you all in the coming months, and finding out how we can improve our support for you.  I’ll be using these newswires to announce our updates, and to let you know what is going on here at Keytime Towers.

Andrew Mann, who previously headed the support team, has moved on to a new role in the Development team, taking on the testing of Keytime accountants products, where his 20 years of practice and HMRC experience will be invaluable.
